Matt Miller joined the UNH men's basketball staff as an assistant coach in June 2024.
Miller joins the Wildcats from Loyola Maryland, where he spent the 2023-24 season. Prior to Loyola, Miller was an assistant at Mount St. Mary’s University for five seasons (2019-23) and helped lead the team to the NCAA tournament in 2021.
His other collegiate coaching experience includes one season (2014) as the top assistant at Division II Shepherd University (Shepherdstown, W. Va.), where Miller helped the Rams to a 20-10 record – their best in more than 20 years. In his role as recruiting coordinator, he led the efforts to bring two 1,000-point scorers and three all-conference players to the school.
Miller attended St. Mary’s College and was a three-year student-athlete and one-year captain of the squad. He won the Capital Athletic Conference’s Student-Athlete Award twice.
Miller earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s in 2005 with dual major in both economics and public policy, and he graduated with his Master’s of Education in health and ESOL from Marymount in 2008.
“I am excited to welcome Matt to the Wildcat basketball family,” UNH head coach Nathan Davis said. “He brings tremendous experience and knowledge to our program and will be a great asset to helping develop our students-athletes both on and off the court.”
