University of New Hampshire Athletics

In today’s rapidly evolving world of college athletics, the strength of the Wildcat community has never been more critical. The On to Victory Funds are a bold new initiative designed to provide essential financial support to UNH student-athletes, enhancing their experience both on and off the field. Named after our iconic fight song, the On to Victory Funds represent more than tradition—it’s a call to action. It’s about championing our student-athletes, empowering them to compete fiercely, grow personally, and represent UNH with pride and purpose. With the spirit of our fight song at the heart of these funds, we’re turning tradition into impact.

What are the On to Victory Funds?
The On to Victory Funds are a new initiative supporting UNH student-athletes through direct financial resources that enhance their academic, athletic, and personal development. Each fund benefits a specific program—women’s basketball, football, men’s hockey—or all sports through the general UNH Athletics Victory Fund.
Who benefits from the On to Victory Funds?
UNH student-athletes benefit through direct financial support for education-related expenses, including cost of attendance and Alston funds.

How do Victory Funds differ from an NIL Collective?
Victory Funds provide direct financial support to student-athletes for education-related benefits like cost of attendance and Alston funds. Unlike NIL Collectives, 100% of gifts to Victory Funds go to the student-athletes, and contributions are tax-deductible. NIL Collectives may retain a portion of funds for overhead as for-profit organizations, and gifts to them are not tax-deductible.
Is my donation to a Victory Fund tax deductible?
Yes, gifts to the Victory Funds are 100% tax deductible and go directly to support UNH student-athletes. It is recommended that donors consult their tax advisor to confirm how this applies to their individual situation.
Can I designate my gift to a specific sport?
Gifts can be designated to a specific sport through the Victory Funds for women’s basketball, football, or men’s hockey. Launched as a pilot program with select teams, this initiative may expand to include more sports as its success and sustainability are evaluated.
Can I designate my gift to a specific student-athlete?
No, NCAA rules prohibit directing gifts to individual student-athletes. All contributions must support student-athletes broadly through designated team funds or the general UNH Athletics Victory Fund.
