Wildcat Internship Program - ’Cat Crew Marketing Team
Internship Overview
Applications for its Marketing Internship Program, also known as the 'Cat Crew marketing team, for the 2026-27 academic year will be open from March 1-Aril 15, 2026. Participants will gain invaluable, hands-on experience and transferable skills that are beneficial to anyone seeking a profession in the sports industry and can also be applied to marketing roles in various other industries.
'Cat Crew team members will aid the UNH Athletics' department in the planning, development, and execution of marketing initiatives and game presentation for all varsity programs with an emphasis on ticketed sports.
Internship Responsibilities
As a 'Cat Crew member, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the UNH Athletics' marketing staff in all aspects of planning and daily operations.
- Developing promotional plans, game presentation elements, theme nights, and giveaway ideas for ticketed sports.
- Designing a wide variety of marketing collateral and creating content (e.g., printed material, social media posts, and video board assets) to promote UNH Athletics and enhance the game day experience.
- Managing gameday event production (pregame and postgame included), as well as preparing and editing run-of-show documents, such as video board scripts and public address reads.
- Coordinating on-site promotional events and gameday activities, including giveaway distribution, fan contests, marketing table initiatives, group sales activations, pregame ceremonies, and on-field presentations.
- Collaborating with the ticket office, Wildcat Sports Properties, and UNH Wildcat Productions to achieve department objectives through sponsored activities and other efforts.
- Planning and executing special events for UNH Athletics (e.g., 'Cat Pack Kickoff, Senior Showcase, etc.) and supporting promotional efforts on non-ticketed sports as needed.
- Assisting varsity sports with community initiatives and volunteer efforts, as requested.
- Other duties as assigned by the UNH Athletics department.
Commitment
All 'Cat Crew members are expected to work between 5-15 hours per week, varying on a week-to-week basis, with September through March being the busiest months. At least 2-4 hours every week will be classified as "office hours." All other hours will be required to staff UNH Athletics events.
'Cat Crew members will be assigned as a director and/or co-director to a ticketed sport. Sport directors will delegate responsibilities to fellow 'Cat Crew members and oversee successful execution of all gameday elements (e.g., run of show, mascot appearances, on-field activities, etc.). All 'Cat Crew members are expected to work all home football and men's ice hockey games, as well as postseason events hosted by UNH Athletics (e.g., conference tournament, NCAAs, etc.).
Staffing will be required for events occurring during school breaks.
If you are a student pursuing the internship for credit, you must meet the required hours each week for your specific class through your major.
