What is Annual Giving?
Annual expenses for UNH Athletics reaches $31 million each year, a third of which is purposed to cover the cost of scholarship support for a majority of UNH's 500 student-athletes. The Department of Athletics is responsible for generating revenue, a majority of which comes from philanthropy, to support annual operating expenses.
Philanthropic gifts from alumni, parents, friends, and fans of the UNH Wildcats provide critical resources to help our teams pursue excellence and to promote an exceptional student-athlete experience. A yearly annual gift supports the immediate and long term success of our athletic programs and benefits all of UNH's 500 student-athletes.
Where should I direct my support?
You can choose where to direct your support! Gifts directed toward a varsity program supports the day-to-day operating budget of each team and impacts the coaches and athletes of those teams. Donations made to the Wildcat Athletics Fund provide resources for overarching departmental needs that impact all Wildcat programs and student-athletes.
How will my gift be used?
Donations to UNH Athletics are re-invested in areas that promote excellence in the classroom, in competition, and in the community. No matter where you direct your gift, you'll be providing critical resources that will allow the Wildcats to have memorable experiences during their time at UNH.

| Gifts to this area benefit all UNH student-athletes, and provides resources for overarching departmental needs such as nutrition, career preparedness, academic support, postseason travel/dining, and mental health and well-being | Over 330 student-athletes representing all 20 athletic programs receive some type of athletics scholarship aid. Gifts designated to athletic scholarships help defray this cost, which reaches over $10 Million annually. | Support the annual needs of a specific team to defray costs such as mental health and wellness initiatives, technology upgrades, hosting or travel to recruits, equipment, team travel/lodging, team meals, and summer programming. |
