Men’s Hockey Posts 21 Selections to Hockey East All-Academic Team

Jared Whale named to Academic All-Star Team
AMESBURY, Mass. – Twenty-one members of the 2025-26 University of New Hampshire men's hockey team have been named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have recorded a 3.0 GPA or above for each semester.
Senior goalie Jared Whale (Calgary, Alberta) recorded a 4.0 to earn Hockey East Top Scholar Athlete honors for compiling the highest GPA at his position for the season. He was also named to the Academic All-Star Team.
Junior Jason Siedem (Madison, N.J.) earned a spot on the All-Academic Team for the third season, while sophomore Ryan MacPherson (Windsor, Ontario), sophomore Josh Player (West Deptford, N.J.), junior Nick Ring (Hingham, Mass.) and senior Kristaps Skrastins (Grobina, Latvia) are two-time recipients.
Senior Kyle Chauvette (Goffstown, N.H.), freshman Reid Conn (Littleton, Colo.), freshman Kristian Coombs (Calgary, Alberta), graduate student Jack Cronin (South Hamilton, Mass.), freshman Nick De Angelis (King City, Ontario), freshman Conner de Haro (Raleigh, N.C.), freshman Connor DeTurris (Naperville, Ill.), freshman Félix Gagnon (Jonquière, Quebec), sophomore Cam MacDonald (Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia), freshman Jacob Newcombe (Sambro, Nova Scotia), freshman Sam Oliver (Saint John, New Brunswick), freshman Ryan Philbrick (Concord, N.H.), sophomore Oscar Plandowski (Halifax, Nova Scotia), junior J.P. Turner (East Falmouth, Mass.) and senior Morgan Winters (Osprey, Fla.) each made the All-Academic Team for the first time.
The Wildcats start the 2026-27 season at Quinnipiac on Friday, Oct. 2 and begin the home season versus Michigan State on Oct. 23-24.
