Five 'Cats Receive CSC Academic All-District Team Recognition

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Briana Danis (Hooksett, N.H.), Sarah Moore (Lisbon, Maine), Mariam Nada (Portsmouth, N.H.), Emma Reaves (Westminster, Md.), and Ruth White (Orono, Maine) of the University of New Hampshire were named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Women's Cross Country/Track & Field All-Academic Team on Tuesday.
Moore and White have been selected for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. The Academic All-America First, Second and Third Teams will be announced July 15.
The Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for combined performance in athletics (top 50 regional rank or NCAA participant) and the classroom (3.50 or higher cumulative GPA). The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions.
Danis, an exercise science major with a 3.65 GPA, won the hammer at four outdoor meets and placed sixth in that event at the America East Championship, where she also finished fourth in the discus with a personal-best 47.96 meters (157 feet-4 inches). Danis also recorded a pair of wins and two second-place efforts in the discus during the outdoor season
Danis' outdoor highlights included a first-place sweep of the discus and hammer at the SNHU Ed Daniels Classic as well as a personal-best hammer throw (54.23m; 177-11) at the UNH Jim Boulanger Invitational.
The junior's 2026 indoor season was capped with a gold-medal effort in the weight throw at the New England Championships.
Danis has been named to the America East Track & Field Commissioner's Honor Roll every year (2024, 2025). On the 2026 America East Outdoor Performance List, she was No. 4 in the discus and No. 5 fin the hammer.
Moore, a sport management & leadership major with a 3.83 GPA, was named the 2026 America East Women's Indoor Track & Field Performer of the Year and ended the outdoor season by finishing 15th in the long jump at the NCAA East First Round; she was seeded 47th among 48 competitors.
Moore won both the America East indoor and outdoor long jump titles, as well as the New England indoor title as a sophomore in 2026; those were three of her seven first place finishes in the long jump.
In the outdoor season, Moore took the top spot in the long jump three times and ran the anchor leg in a winning 4x100m relay three times, including a school-record 46.23 seconds.
Moore also ran a personal-best time of 24.21 second in the 200m at the America East outdoor championships, but it did not enter the school record book because of the wind measurement.
During the indoor season, Moore also recorded first place efforts in the triple jump, 60m and 200m. On the America East Performance List, she was first in long jump, seventh in the 200m, 11th in both the 60m and triple jump.
Moore was named to the 2026 America East Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team and made the conference Commissioner's Honor Roll in '25.
Nada, a political science major with a 3.98 GPA, had strong performances at the America East outdoor meet with fourth place in the long jump and eighth place in the 100m – both with personal bests of 11.86 seconds and 5.82m (19-1.25), respectively. She also ran the first leg of the school-record 4x100m relay.
The sophomore raced to first place in the 100m four times during the outdoor season and was ranked No. 5 in that event on the America East Performance List.
Nada earned a silver medal in the 60m at the New England indoor championship meet with a personal-best 7.58 seconds. During the indoor season, she won the 60m once and had a pair of wins in the 55m.
Nada was named to the 2025 America East Track & Field Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Reaves, an Environmental Science: Ecosystems major with a 3.55 GPA, was the second-highest scoring women's athlete at the America East Outdoor Championship with second place in both the shot put and hammer as well as third place in the discus. The sophomore recorded personal bests in both the hammer (55.53m) and discus (48.61m).
During the outdoor season, Reaves amassed six first-place finishes with three in both the discus and shot put. She also finished in second place five times with three in the hammer and on in both shot put and discus.
Reaves swept first place in discus and shot put at both UNH home meets and she was also runner-up in the hammer at the UNH Wildcat Invitational.
On the America East Performance List, she ranked No. 2 in hammer and No. 3 in both shot put and discus. Reaves also competed in all three throws at the UMass Lowell George Davis Invitational, where she took top honors in the shot put and runner-up in both hammer and discus.
During the indoor season, Reaves recorded six first-place efforts with a sweep of the shot put and weight throw in two meets. She ranked No. 2 in the shot put and No. 3 in the weight throw on the America East Indoor Performance List
Reaves was named to the 2025 America East Track & Field Honor Roll.
White, a mechanical engineer major with a 3.98 GPA, finished the 2026 outdoor track & field season as an All-America Honorable Mention with a 22nd-place finish at the NCAA Championships. She advanced to the NCAAs by finishing ninth at the NCAA East First Round with a season-best time of 33:08.83; she entered the race seeded 27th.
White was named the America East Track Athlete of the Week on April 14 after she broke the 5,000m school record with a time of 16:03.28 at the Friar Invitational. She won the 5,000m at both UNH home meets this season – the Jim Boulanger Invitational in early April and UNH Wildcat Invitational later that month.
The sophomore went on to earn a silver medal at the America East Championship with a second-place effort in the 10,000m.
She won the first three cross country races of the 2025 season – Suffolk Short Course Classic, Ted Owen Invitational and Paul Short Run – and finished third at the New England Championships, which was her last meet of the year.
White was also named to the America East Women's Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team on Tuesday.
White has made the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll all three times – 2024 and 2025 cross country and 2025 track & field. She was named the America East Outdoor Track Performer of the Year in 2025.
