DURHAM, N.H. – Junior Grace Blume (Dedham, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving team and senior Yoofi Abaka-Amuah (Worcester, Mass.) of the UNH men's track & field team were named the Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week on Jan. 26.
Grace broke both UNH diving records to lead the Wildcats to a 167-118 victory against the University of Maine at the Stanley M. Wallace Pool on Jan. 23. She recorded a score of 301.80 points in the 1-meter dive to shatter the benchmark of 290.47 set in 2012 by Ellen Pelletier.
Grace finished with a school-record mark of 309.53 points in the 3-meter dive to shatter the previous mark of 288.45 set by Shana Dege in 2007.
Yoofi swept the shot put and weight throw events to lead UNH to a 101-54 dual meet victory against Bryant University at the Paul Sweet Oval on Jan. 24.
His winning mark of 20.93 meters (68 feet-8 inches) in the weight throw is the top mark by any America East competitor in the 2025-26 indoor season. Yoofi already had a first-place effort of 20.19m when he unleashed the winning distance of 20.93m on his last throw.
Yoofi's winning throw of 18.25m (59-10.5) in the shot put is also the best effort by anyone in America East this season. He recorded that top mark on the second of his six attempts.
Check back every week during the season to get to know two more Wildcats as part of the Service Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Week. Thank you to Service Credit Union for sponsoring the Student-Athlete of the Week.
