DURHAM, N.H. – Sophomore Ruth White (Orono, Maine.) of the University of New Hampshire Women's cross-country team and grad student Chase Wilson (Lake Charles, La.) of the UNH football team were named the Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week on Sept. 22
Ruth made it back-to-back first-place finishes to start the women's cross-country season, crossing the line in 17 minutes, 6.60 seconds to win Saturday's 5K race. She led the Wildcat women's XC team to second place overall with 72 points at the Ted Owen Invitational hosted by Central Connecticut State University at Stanley Quarter Park.
The Wildcat cross country teams will next compete in the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University, on Friday, Oct. 3, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course in Bethlehem, Pa.

Chase hauled in six catches for 120 yards, including a 38-yard Touchdown vs Dartmouth om Sept 20. The touchdown reception was his second as a Wildcat and came at a crucial point in the fourth quarter giving UNH a 20-19 lead. His 120 receiving yards is also the highest total of any Wildcat so far this season.
UNH returns to action Saturday, Sept. 27 against UAlbany for its Throwback Game and Military Appreciation.

Check back every week during the season to get to know two more Wildcats as part of the Service Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Week. Thank you to Service Credit Union for sponsoring the Student-Athlete of the Week.
