This year, the Wildcats and East Coast Lumber are rallying the UNH community to help make history by attempting to secure 1,000 stuffed animals, which would be the most successful Teddy Bear Toss in program history.
Fans are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped teddy bears or stuffed animals to the game and throw them onto the ice during the first intermission. All donations will benefit local hospitals and charitable organizations that support children and families in need during the holiday season.
"The Teddy Bear Toss has become one of our most special hockey traditions, combining the energy of Wildcat Hockey with the spirit of giving back to our community," said Allison Rich, UNH Director of Athletics. "With East Coast Lumber's support and our incredible fanbase, we're excited to make an even greater impact this year."
"At East Coast Lumber, we're proud to partner with UNH Hockey for this great tradition," said Eric Murphy, East Coast Lumber Director of Marketing. "We hope fans will help us make this year's toss one to remember."
Since its launch in 2022, the Teddy Bear Toss has collected thousands of stuffed animals for local children and families in need, symbolizing the strong connection between UNH Athletics, its fans, and the greater New Hampshire community.
The UNH women's hockey program will also be holding a Teddy Bear Toss during its Saturday, Nov. 22 home game vs Holy Cross at 7pm. BUY TICKETS HERE.
Tickets for both games are available now at UNHWildcats.com/tickets.
