SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Grad student forward Jaxson Baker (Phoenix, Ariz.) scored 19 points for the Wildcats as the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team fell to Bryant 85-66 Thursday evening from Chace Athletic Center.

Junior guard Christian Moore (Virginia Beach, Va.) scored 11 points for the Wildcats. Senior forward Clarence Daniels (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) collected 13 rebounds for the 'Cats.

The Wildcats' record falls to 13-9 (5-4 AE) and Bryant's improves to 15-9 (7-2 AE).

FIRST HALF:   
·       Bryant opened scoring in the game with a three. UNH responded with a quick four points to take a one-point lead.
·       Two free throws for Bryant's Doug Edert gave the Bulldogs a 10-point lead, 19-9, with 11:37 to go in the half.
·       The Wildcats went on a 10-2 run with points from Baker, junior forward Trey Woodyard (London, Ohio) and Daniels to cut the Bryant lead to two with 5:52 remaining.
·       A deep three from Moore gave the Wildcats a 24-23 lead with just over five minutes left.
·       The Bulldogs ended the first on a 12-2 run and took a 40-28 lead going into halftime.

SECOND HALF:  
·       Bryant's offense continued into the second half, opening the lead to 20, 50-30.
·       The Bulldogs kept pushing and extended the lead to 62-40, with 10:51 left in the game.
·       The Wildcat offense came back to life for five minutes, holding Bryant and scoring eight unanswered points to bring the score to 62-46 with 9:10 remaining.
·       Sophomore guard Rex Sunderland (Kaysville, Utah) and Baker combined for nine points off three-pointers on three consecutive possessions for the Wildcats, bringing the deficit to 12, 67-55 with 7:25 to go.
·       The Bryant offense persisted and closed out the game with the 85-66 victory.
