Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week: Gabrielle DeAngelis and Josiah Silver

DURHAM, N.H – Grad student Gabrielle DeAngelis (Bedford, N.H.) of the University of New Hampshire women's cross country team and senior defensive end Josiah Silver (Hampton, Virg.) of the UNH football team were named the Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week on Oct.14.
Gabrielle led the Wildcats with a fifth-place finish out of 198 runners in the 5K race with a 42-second PR time of (insert time), to lead the women's cross country team to the New England Championships title.
The cross country team returns Friday, Oct. 25 (3:30 p.m.) at Stanley Park in the CCSU mini-meet.
Josiah finished with seven tackles and matched his personal bests in both tackles for loss (5.0) and sacks (4.0) to lead UNH to a 17-10 conference win at Elon University on Oct. 12. He recorded two of his four sacks in the fourth quarter to preserve the Wildcats' 17-10 lead.
Football returns Saturday Oct. 19th (1p.m.) at Wildcat Stadium vs URI in the Homecoming game.
