10 Wildcats Attending NHL Development Camps

DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire senior defenseman Luke Reid (Warman, Saskatchewan), junior defenseman Alex Gagne (Bedford, N.H.), junior defenseman Colton Huard (Foothill Ranch, Calif.), junior defenseman Luis Lindner (Spittal an der Drau, Austria), sophomore goalie Tyler Muszelik (Long Valley, N.J.), sophomore forward Stiven Sardarian (Saint Petersburg, Russia), incoming freshman forward Ryan Conmy (Alexandria, Va.), incoming freshman defenseman Brendan Fitzgerald (North Reading, Mass.) and future Wildcat forwards Connor MacPherson (Windsor, Ontario) and Ryan MacPherson (Windsor, Ontario) are attending National Hockey League Development Camps from July 1-14.
The development camps feature top prospects who will participate in team meetings, off-ice testing, on-ice sessions and scrimmages.

Team: Nashville Predators
Where: Centennial Sportsplex (Nashville, Tenn.)
Reid was drafted in the sixth round (166th overall pick) in the 2020 NHL Draft by the Predators. He has six goals and 15 assists for 21 points over 91 games as a Wildcat.
Who: Alex Gagne
Team: Tampa Bay Lightning
Where: TGH Ice Plex (Tampa, Fla.)
Who: Colton Huard
Team: St. Louis Blues
Where: Centene Community Ice Center (Maryland Heights, Mo.)
Huard has played in 63 games over two seasons at UNH. He has nine goals and 26 assists for 35 career points.

The Wildcats will start the 2023-24 season at the Whittemore Center versus Boston University on Friday, Oct. 13, followed by two home games against defending National Champion Quinnipiac on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20-21.

Lindner transferred to UNH after spending the last two seasons at American International. At AIC he totaled four goals and 21 assists for 25 points as he played in 63 games.
Who: Tyler Muszelik
Team: Florida Panthers
Where: Panthers IceDen (Coral Springs, Fla.)
Muszelik was drafted in the sixth round by the Panthers and was the 189th overall pick in 2022. He appeared in 14 games as a freshman with 12 starts, while he was named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week twice (Oct. 10 & Feb. 20).

Team: Buffalo Sabres
Where: LECOM Harborcenter (Buffalo, N.Y.)
Sardarian was selected in the third round with the 88th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft by the Sabres. As a freshman, he posted two goals and five assists for seven points as he appeared in 29 games.
Who: Ryan ConmyTeam: Los Angeles Kings
Where: Toyota Sports Performance Center (El Segundo, Calif.)
Conmy was just recently selected in the sixth round with the 182nd overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft by the Kings. He posted 33 goals and 29 assists for 62 points over 60 games for the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL as he was named to the USHL All-Rookie First Team and earned All-USHL Third Team accolades.

Team: New Jersey Devils
Where: RWJ Barnabas Health Hockey House (Newark, N.J.)
Fitzgerald spent the last two seasons with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the USHL with eight goals and 47 assists for 55 points over 101 games. He was named an assistant captain for the 2022-23 season.
Who: Connor MacPherson
Team: Philadelphia Flyers
Where: Flyers Training Center (Voorhees, N.J.)
MacPherson played the last two seasons for the Leamington Flyers of the GOJHL with 55 goals and 65 assists for 120 points over 91 games as the team won the 2023 Sutherland Cup Championship. MacPherson, who is expected to start his UNH career in 2024-25, will play for the Penticton Vees of the BCHL this season.
