Ryan MacPherson and Ryan Conmy Selected in 2023 NHL Draft

MacPherson was picked by the Flyers and Conmy by the Kings.
NASHVILLE – Future University of New Hampshire Wildcat forward Ryan MacPherson (Windsor, Ontario) and incoming freshman forward Ryan Conmy (Alexandria, Va.) were selected in the 2023 NHL Draft held at Bridgestone Arena.
MacPherson was drafted in the sixth round by the Philadelphia Flyers with the 172nd overall pick, while Conmy was also taken in the sixth round by the LA Kings with the 182nd selection.
UNH has now had 99 players selected in the NHL Draft in program history.
MacPherson, who is expected to start his Wildcat career in 2024-25, played the last two seasons for the Leamington Flyers of the GOJHL. He totaled 39 goals and 74 assists for 113 points over 97 games. The team won the 2023 Sutherland Cup championship.
Conmy is entering his first season at UNH after playing the 2022-23 season with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL. He posted 33 goals and 29 assists for 62 points over 60 games as he was named to the USHL All-Rookie First Team and earned All-USHL Third Team accolades.
The Wildcats will start the 2023-24 season at the Whittemore Center versus Boston University on Friday, Oct. 13, followed by two home games against defending National Champion Quinnipiac on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20-21.
