Tyler Muszelik Invited to 2023 World Junior Summer Showcase

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - University of New Hampshire sophomore goalie Tyler Muszelik (Long Valley, N.J.) has been invited to the 2023 USA Hockey's World Junior Summer Showcase at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich., from July 27-Aug. 4. Muszelik is one of 44 players expected to attend.
The Showcase, which will also include players from Finland and Sweden, is held to evaluate athletes seeking to make their respective national teams for the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship in Gothenburg, Sweden from Dec. 26, 2023, through Jan. 5, 2024.
Muszelik, who is a sixth round draft pick of the Florida Panthers, appeared in 14 games as a freshman with 12 starts. He was named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week twice (Oct. 10 & Feb. 20) during the season.
Muszelik won a silver medal at the 2022 Under-18 Men's World Championships as he went 2-0-0 with a .909 save percentage and a 2.50 goals against average. He previously played in 35 games with the U.S. National Under-18 Team in 2021-22 as he posted a record of 24-5-3 with a .900 save percentage and a 2.91 goals against average.
