Service Credit Union Student-Athletes Of The Week: Kylie Gorgenyi and Kevin McGrath

DURHAM, N.H. -- Senior Kylie Gorgenyi (North Reading, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team and graduate student Kevin McGrath (Hopkinton, N.H.) of the UNH men's track and field team were named the Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week on March 6.

Kylie Gorgenyi helped the UNH gymnastics team to a win at Penn on March 2 and a second-place finish in Sunday's quad meet at 25th-ranked Maryland. On Thursday, Kylie shared second place with teammates Kenadi Brown and Jacy Whitehead on the uneven bars with a score of 9.850. In the floor exercise, Kylie also tied for third place with a score of 9.725. UNH finished with a total of 194.850 points in the win.

On Sunday, Kylie led UNH in both the floor exercise with a score of 9.900 and vault at 9.775. She also recorded the Wildcats' second best score on bars at 9.825. With her performance in the floor exercise, Kylie was in a five-way tie for second place with four athletes from Maryland.

The UNH women's gymnastics team concluded their regular season on Sunday, March 12th with a dual-meet against Brown at the Whittemore Center. It will be Senior Day and Alumni Day for the gymnastics program.

Kevin McGrath added another high jump title to his career at the 101st IC4A Indoor Championships at the BU Track & Tennis Center, where the UNH men's track and field team concluded their indoor season (march 3-5). Kevin won the high jump on Saturday afternoon with a height of 2.09 meters (6 feet, 10.25 inches). Kevin competed against 10 athletes from eight other schools.

Kevin ended the indoor season with two high jump titles in a row at the America East Championships and the IC4A Championships.

The Wildcats will return to action when they begin the 2023 outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays from March 23-25.
