Tyler Muszelik Named Hockey East Rookie of the Week

Muszelik earns honor for the second time
AMESBURY, Mass. – University of New Hampshire freshman goalie Tyler Muszelik (Long Valley, N.J.) has been named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week. This is the second time Muszelik has earned this honor as he previously won on Oct. 10.
Muszelik was outstanding in net as he recorded his first collegiate shutout in the 0-0 tie versus Maine on Feb. 18. He also allowed no goals during the shootout as the Wildcats picked up the extra point. He made 29 saves.
The Wildcats, who are 4-0-2 over their last six games, will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m. in Storrs, Ct., when they play No. 16 UConn on ESPN+. The Wildcats will then conclude the regular season on Thursday, March 2 at 7 p.m. versus Vermont on Fan Appreciation Night at the Whittemore Center.
