Wright's Career-High Kills Help 'Cats Secure a 3-1 Victory Over UAlbany

Wright had a massive match for UNH, setting a career-high in both kills (14) and hitting percentage (.455).
DURHAM, N.H. - After falling behind 4-3 early in the first set, UNH would not trail for the remainder of the set, taking it by a score of 25-22. Alysa Wright (Wayne, Pa.) led the 'Cats in the set with four kills. Albany came out firing in the 2nd set, taking five straight points on their way to a 10-3 lead. The 'Cats fought back with four straight points but could not pull out the victory in the end, falling 25-16. Hannah Serbousek (Fort Collins, Colo.) led UNH with four kills in the set, including a service ace. Albany stayed hot, getting out to another 5-0 lead in the third set. This time, the 'Cats were able to complete the comeback. Following an intense, back-and-forth ending, UNH was able to pull away with a 28-26 victory to take a 2-1 lead in the match. Kelly Kaufmann (Raleigh, N.C.) and Wright led the 'Cats in kills, having three apiece. This time, UNH was able to take the 5-0 advantage early in the fourth set. Despite Albany coming back to take the lead 18-16, UNH rallied and won the set 25-20, earning a victory in the match by a score of three sets to one. The Wildcats had five multi-kill players in the final set. Wright had a massive match for UNH, setting a career-high in both kills (14) and hitting percentage (.455).
