UNH Athletics, Deciduous Brewing Company, N.H. Distributors Introduce Go 'Cats! Beer

New England-style IPA brewed by UNH Alumni Maryann Zagami ’99 and Frank Zagami ’00
DURHAM, N.H. – UNH Athletics and Deciduous Brewing Company of Newmarket, N.H., in association with New Hampshire Distributors, announced a collaboration Tuesday that introduces a delicious and refreshing new microbrew known as Go 'Cats! that will be available for purchase at all Wildcat home football and men's hockey games along with several local retail locations.
Go 'Cats!, a 6.2% ABV New England-style IPA, was created and brewed by Deciduous' owners, Maryann Zagami '99 and Frank Zagami '00 .
"As proud UNH Alumni, we are honored and grateful to have the opportunity to work with UNH Athletics on the creation of Go 'Cats!," the Zagamis said. "Our goals in both recipe design and branding were to create a beer that resonates with all UNH sports fans. When cheering on the Wildcats, we hope that fans will choose to drink Go 'Cats! and support their team, a local business, and the dream of two alumni coming to fruition."
Fans can celebrate the arrival of Go 'Cats! just in time for Homecoming weekend, which includes the home-opening UNH men's hockey game versus No. 1 Boston University on Friday, Oct. 13 (8 p.m.) in the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex, as well as No. 24 UNH Football versus UAlbany on Saturday, Oct. 14 (1 p.m.) at Wildcat Stadium.
"We are excited to partner with Deciduous Brewing and New Hampshire Distributors on the outstanding Go 'Cats! beer we are proud to offer to our fans," UNH Director of Athletics Allison Rich said. "This collaboration aligns the hard-working and entrepreneurial efforts of UNH alumni, Maryann and Frank Zagami, with our longstanding and valued partners, New Hampshire Distributors, to create a fun and unique product for the UNH Athletics community. It's a great day to be a Wildcat!"

"When this collaborative opportunity took flight, it felt like the right moment in time to connect Frank, my UNH college roommate and current business associate, with UNH Athletics. Go 'Cats! is the collective result of our unique partnership with UNH and the great connection we have with Demi Kneeland, Allison Rich and our friends at Deciduous. I look forward to sharing a cold one with my Wildcat friends this weekend."
Go 'Cats! will be available on draft in the following Durham locations: Ciao Trattoria and Wine Bar, Clark's American Bistro, Hop + Grind, Libby's Bar and Grill, Three Chimneys Inn, Tideline Public House, and Wildcat Pizza.
Four-packs of Go 'Cats! will be available for purchase at Deciduous Brewing Company in addition to the following Durham locations: Campus Convenience, Hannaford, Main Street Convenience, University Market, and University Market II.

New Hampshire Distributors, LLC was founded in August of 1946 by James H. Hayes '32. Jim came to New Hampshire temporarily in 1937 as the first commanding officer of the New Hampshire State Police. In 1946, Jim's opportunity to permanently return to New Hampshire occurred when he accepted an opportunity to begin warehousing, selling and merchandising soft drinks in the state. He and his wife Claire, both UNH graduates, moved to Concord at that time to live and raise a family.
New Hampshire Distributors continues business today with a successful transition to the third generation. Currently, this "family business" has a staff of over 200 full-time employees. Their footprint stretches from Manchester to the border town of Seabrook on the southern end and encompasses everything in between all the way to the Canadian border on the northern end. Servicing our accounts on a daily and weekly basis is our top priority. They take pride in their motto that "Making Friends is our Business."
