Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week: Leah Glidden and Randall Harris

DURHAM, N.H. -- Senior forward Leah Glidden (Kittery, Maine) of the field hockey team and junior cornerback Randall Harris (Walled Lake, Mich.) of the football team were named the Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week on Sept. 6.

Leah had a strong game against Providence College on Sept. 2 by posting two goals and four shots, with both shots on goal going in. Her back-to-back games with two goals and four points are a career high.

Her goals were a crucial part in helping the Wildcats win their third game of the season. She scored her first goal of the game alone in front of the cage to give UNH the 1-0 lead. Her second goal came off of a redirection that gave the team a 3-1 lead that secured the win for the Wildcats.

Through four games, Leah ranks second on the team in goals, points, shots, and is tied for first in game-winning goals.

The UNH field hockey team returns to action Friday, Sept. 9 (7:30 p.m.) against #23 American (at Maryland) and Sunday, Sept. 11 against #3 Maryland at 2 p.m.

Randall had an outstanding game against Monmouth in the Thursday Night Throwdown season opener on Sept. 1. He posted two interceptions and two tackles with one of them being a solo tackle.

His first interception came in the third quarter at the UNH 26-yard line to protect the Wildcats' 17-14 lead. His second interception came in the fourth quarter with a little more than four minutes to go. The ball was intercepted at the MU 25-yard line and returned for a touchdown that helped the 'Cats secure their first win of the season in the home opener at Wildcat Stadium.

The UNH football team returns to action Saturday, Sept. 10 (7 p.m.) against UAlbany in Albany N.Y.
