DURHAM, N.H. – When the UNH football team kicks off against Monmouth in the Thursday Night Throwdown, presented by Dunkin', at 7 p.m. (FloSports.com, Wildcat Sports Radio Network) in Wildcat Stadium, a new era officially begins in The Dungeon.
•Dr. Allison Rich embarks on her first season as the UNH Director of Athletics. Rich, who has been in collegiate athletics administration for nearly three decades, succeeded Marty Scarano when she was appointed by University President James W. Dean, Jr. on July 5. She brings nearly three decades of collegiate athletics administration experience to Durham after spending the previous nine years at her alma mater, Princeton University, as the Senior Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator.
•Rick Santos patrols the sideline his first game as the head coach of his alma mater, replacing legendary Sean McDonnell, who retired last December following 23 years at the helm. Santos, who served as interim head coach in 2019, was a record-setting Wildcat quarterback from 2004-07 and was inducted into the UNH Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016. During his playing career, he compiled a 37-14 record and directed the Wildcats to four NCAA Division One FCS playoff appearances. The native of Bellingham, Mass., won the Walter Payton Award as the most outstanding offensive player in FCS football in 2006. He still holds UNH records in all-time pass attempts, completions and passing yards.
•The all-new parking and tailgating experience includes the opening of the revamped Moiles Lot in addition to Boulder Field, A Lot, Service Credit Union Victory Club parking, Priority Lot and Preferred Parking. READ MORE.
•The enhanced 50-50 raffle has gone completely digital, and fans can purchase 50-50 tickets before gates open, at the game, or even from the comfort of their own home. Proceeds of the 50-50 benefit the UNH Cheerleading program. Look for Wildcat cheerleaders to help fans set up their convenient Raffles Now account at each home game. READ MORE.
•The Bud Light Beer Deck returns with great vantage points, cornhole games and snacks overlooking Walker Way and the Wildcat locker room entrance. New this season, fans can now enjoy the Beer Express window, including hot dogs, popcorn and pretzels, located conveniently next to the 603 Eatery on the Bellavance Concourse.
•Following the game, fans are encouraged to join the Wildcat Marching Band and the football team in singing the UNH Alma Mater.
•For more information, visit UNHWildcats.com or call the ticket office at 603-862-4000. The Wildcat Stadium Ticket Office, located at Gate A (videoboard), opens at 3 p.m. for gameday sales.
