Service Credit Union Student-Athletes Of The Week: Jasmine Lyons & Mike Robinson

DURHAM, N.H. --Â Sophomore Jasmine Lyons (Ottawa, Ontario)Â of the skiing team and senior goaltender Mike Robinson (Bedford, N.H.)Â of the men's hockey team were named the Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week on Feb. 14.

Lyons raced to victory in the women's 10K freestyle at Oak Hill Touring Center on Feb. 12 in the UNH ski team's third-place finish at the Dartmouth Carnival, which concluded that day. She completed the 10K free in 31 minutes, 13.0 seconds -- 54 seconds ahead of the runner-up -- for 50 points.
Lyons placed third in the 5K classic to propel the UNH women's Nordic ski team to a second-place tie that discipline and the Wildcats to third place overall halfway through the Dartmouth Carnival on Friday, Feb. 11.Â
The alpine Wildcats are scheduled to compete in giant slalom at Stowe on Thursday, Feb. 17, in a makeup of the postponed UVM Carnival race from the Feb. 4-5 weekend. The race will count for NCAA points only. The entire UNH ski team will be at the Middlebury Carnival on Feb. 18-19.
Robinson was named Hockey East Goaltender of the Week on Feb. 14; he posted a 1.02 goals against average and a .967 save percentage as he went 1-1-0 last week.
Robinson stopped all 32 shots he faced for his second shutout of the season to propel the UNH men's hockey team to a 3-0 victory over No. 13 UMass Lowell on Sunday afternoon at the Whittemore Center. It was Robinson's ninth career shutout.
Robinson made 26 saves and allowed two goals versus Vermont in the 3-0 road loss on Feb. 11.

The Wildcats return to action on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 18-19 in Maine.
