'Cats Sweep NJIT on Senior Day in Regular-Season Finale

UNH face top seed Binghamton on Saturday at 1pm in the America East semifinals
DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire volleyball team earned a 3-0 sweep against NJIT in the regular-season finale on Sunday afternoon at Lundholm Gymnasium in America East action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-21.
The Wildcats improve to 18-9 overall (6-4 AE) with the victory, while the Highlanders end their season at 8-21 overall (1-9 AE).
UNH was led offensively by junior outside hitter Hannah Serbousek (Fort Collins, Colo.), who posted a match-high kills with a .370 hitting percentage and seven digs. Freshmen Lindsey Kriendler (Houston, Texas) and Kara Oxenknecht (Naperville, Ill.) tallied nine and eight kills, respectively in the win for the 'Cats.
Junior middle blocker Kelly Kaufmann (Raleigh, N.C.) also chipped in with eight kills and a team-high .471 hitting percentage. Senior outside hitter Erin Hedrick (Montvale, N.J.) amassed six kills, while senior setter Wren Macaulay (Lake Orion, Mich.) tallied 33 assists running the Wildcats' offense. Hedrick and Macaulay played in their final home match in their collegiate career, as the lone Wildcat seniors.
Junior libero Mia Pagliarini (Springboro, Ohio) managed 14 digs in UNH's 18th win of the season.
The Wildcats hit at a .353 clip in the opening frame with 17 kills and followed that up with 15 kills and a .333 hitting percentage in the second stanza.
UNH will play in the America East semifinals on Saturday, November 19 at Binghamton. Match time from West Gym is 1 p.m. on ESPN+.
