UNH returns to the Whitt vs. #9 Providence on Oct. 28
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Five different Eagles scored as the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to Boston College, 5-0, on Sunday afternoon at Conte Forum in Hockey East action.
The Wildcats fall to 3-3-0 (0-3-0 Hockey East), while the Eagles improve to 2-1-1 (2-0-0 Hockey East).

- At 3:50 of the of the second period, senior goalie David Fessenden (Parker, Colo.) made a big save on a BC breakaway to keep the game tied at 0-0.

- The Eagles took a 1-0 lead at 8:03 of the second period when Lukas Gustafsson fired a one-timer from the middle of the faceoff circle stick side for the power play goal.
- BC increased its lead to 2-0 at 19:10 when Nikita Nesterenko sent the puck to the upper stick side corner of the net from the slot.
- Then just 38 seconds later, Trevor Kuntar knocked in a rebound to make it a 3-0 game.
- Cutter Gauthier made it a 4-0 contest at 9:15 of the third period when he scored on a rebound off a shot by Cade Alami.
- Mike Posma scored the last goal of the game when sent a loose puck to the back of the net at 14:11 of the third period for the 5-0 final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Fessenden made 29 saves, while Mitch Benson tallied 22 saves for the Eagles to earn the win.
- BC outshot UNH, 34-22.
