Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week: Jill Walker & Jassem Koleilat

DURHAM, N.H. -- Freshman Jill Walker (Simi Valley, Calif.) of the UNH women's cross country team and junior goalkeeper Jassem Koleilat (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) of the UNH men's soccer team were named the Service Credit Union Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, Sept. 14.

Last Friday, Walker had an outstanding collegiate debut with a time of 18:17.12, leading the Wildcats with a sixth-place finish at the Friar Inviational. The women's cross country team opened the season at the Friar Invitational on the 5K Mark Coogan XC Course at Highland Park. New Hampshire placed second with 54 points, while Providence (18 points) placed first and Stony Brook (67 points) placed third.

The UNH women's cross country team will return to action when it hosts the Pre-Conference Meet on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 12 p.m.

Koleilat earned this honor after going 2-0-0 last week with two shutouts. Last Friday night, Koleilat made three saves leading the No. 12 ranked Wildcats to a 1-0 win at Michigan. Earlier in the week, Koleilat made one save in the 1-0 win at Northeastern. Koleilat is tied for first in nation with four shutouts, while he is sixth in the nation with a .200 goals against average.

The UNH men's soccer team will return to action when they play at Marist on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.
