Alex Gagne Invited to World Junior Summer Showcase from July 24-31

DURHAM, N.H. - University of New Hampshire men's hockey freshman Alex Gagne (Bedford, N.H) has been invited to the 2021 World Junior Summer Showcase from July 24-31, at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.
The event is part of the process to select the 2022 U.S. National Junior Team that will compete at the International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship from Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta. The Showcase will also feature teams from Finland and Sweden.

Gagne skated on the 2019 U.S. Under-18 Men's Select Team at the 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Piešťany, Slovakia and Břeclav, Czech Republic
He played the 2020-21 season for the Muskegon Lumberjacks (USHL) as he posted three goals and 23 assists for 26 points over 53 games, while he set the franchise record of a plus 35 plus-minus rating and was a 2021 USHL All-Third Team Selection. Gagne was a member of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders (USHL) for the 2019-20 season as he recorded two goals and six assists for eight points over 38 games.
Gagne was a member of the New Hampshire Avalanche from 2016-19 and graduated from Bedford High School in 2020.
