DURHAM, N.H. -- A reunion of the University of New Hampshire 1960 football team was held at the Field House on Saturday, Oct. 30 before opening kickoff of the UNH game against Richmond. This was the most recent in a series of reunions that first began in 1990 and have taken place through the years.
The 1960 team raised over $10,000 for the new football team locker room, and one of the lockers is dedicated in the name of this team. UNH President James Dean, athletic director Marty Scarano and head coach Sean McDonnell visited the team during the reunion.
Members of the team have dispersed throughout the country and it is much more challenging to get together. As a result, this was the team's last formal gathering and was dubbed the "Final Huddle."
