Greer Hired as Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations/Finance

Greer joins Wildcats after serving as Northeastern coordinator for business operations, finance
DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire Director of Athletics Marty Scarano announced the hire of Thomas Greer as the department's assistant athletic director for business operations, finance.
Greer, a New Hampshire resident, joins the Wildcats from Northeastern University, where he served in the role of coordinator, business operations for the athletic department since Feb. 2020. In that capacity, he supplied direct oversight of administrative processes, monitored all department budgets and was the lead department liaison with campus administrative offices.
"We are excited to have Thomas join us at this critical juncture," Scarano said. "His understanding of athletics finance combined with his intelligence, enthusiasm and people skills will serve us well as we enter an evolutionary phase.
"We need to make significant progress toward revenue generation in a strategic and deliberate manner, and Thomas will play a vital role in guiding us to sustained profitability."
At UNH, Greer will provide frontline financial management for the athletic department, which includes external revenues, internal expenses, strategic initiatives, capital projects and other prescribed business operations functions.
"I am incredibly honored and excited to join the Wildcat family," Greer said. "I would like to thank Marty for blessing me with the opportunity to join this team. I am inspired by his vision and the mission of the athletic department, as well as University, and I look forward to the role I can play in furthering that mission."
Greer earned his MBA from Willamette University in 2018, and he received his master's degree in Sports Administration from Boston College. While at B.C., he served as the student-athlete academic services graduate assistant. In 2007, Greer earned an Economics and Business undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College (D-III), where he was a member of the men's basketball team.
