Offensive/Defensive lineman played at Tilton School for former ‘Cat coach Matt Dawson
DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire head football coach Sean McDonnell announced Wednesday that Dylan Maciulewicz signed a national letter of intent during the early signing period to join the program this fall.
"Dylan is a very good athlete, and he moves very well for an offensive lineman," McDonnell said. "He has a wide wingspan, great feet, and both skills will aid him in pass protection. He can play all three positions on the offensive line, and his versatility will add great depth to the UNH offensive line."
Maciulewicz is a 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive/defensive lineman from Erie, Pa., who comes to the Wildcats after a postgraduate season at Tilton School, where he was a team captain for head coach and former UNH assistant coach Matt Dawson. Maciulewicz previously played at McDowell High School in Erie, where he helped guide the Trojans to a 9-2 record, the District 10 Class 6A championship and a second-round playoff berth in 2019. As a dominant force on both sides of the ball, he was named Pennsylvania 6A All-State First Team, All-Region First Team, Big School All-District and a Varsity Cup All-Star.
The early signing period is a 72-hour window from Wednesday-Friday for incoming student-athletes wishing to announce their commitment prior to National Signing Day, which is Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021.
The UNH football team is tentatively scheduled to play its season opener Saturday, March 6, against UAlbany at Wildcat Stadium. The Wildcats are slated to play a six-game, conference-only schedule as part of the CAA's spring football season. No decisions have been made regarding spectators for the spring 2021 football season.
