DURHAM, NH- Senior women's ice hockey forward Meghara McManus (Milton, Mass.) and junior men's ice hockey goaltender Mike Robinson (Bedford, N.H.) are the Service Credit Union Student-Athlete Spotlight award recipients for the week of Jan. 20-26.
Â
Meghara, who played in two games against the Crusaders of Holy Cross this past week (Jan. 24-25), scored three goals and had one assist. On top of that, she finished with a plus/minus of +3 in those two games while leading UNH in goals scored for the week. Meghara scored one of the three Wildcat goals on Friday and two of the five Saturday. These goals were her 12th, 13th, and 14th of the season to increase that team-leading total and also give her a team-high 21 points. Meghara factored in both first-period goals Saturday by setting up the first tally 32 seconds into the game and scoring at 10:30; she struck again with one second left in the second stanza to extend UNH's lead to 5-1.

Â
Mike played this past Friday and Saturday against #7 UMass and backboned the Wildcats to a 1-0-1 weekend. He gave up only one goal in two games to the Minutemen, who entered the weekend ranked No. 9 in the nation in goals scored per game. Mike made 57 saves on 58 shots for a .983 save percentage and 0.48 goals-against-average. The 31-save shutout on Friday was his second of the season and the seventh of his career. In the 1-1 tie Saturday, Mike made 26 saves. After this weekend, his season stats improved to a 2.34 GAA and .910 save percentage.
