Dickson has been a longtime supporter of UNH Athletics. She has given back to the athletic department for 37 consecutive years. For nearly a decade, Cheryl served in a volunteer leadership role for the then Wildcats Athletics Council and was awarded the Alumni Meritorious Service Award in 2012 by UNH for her continued efforts in engaging in University affairs.
"I'm honored, happy and humbled to receive this recognition,"Â Dickson said. "My late husband, Bo, and I met while at UNH and stayed involved during our time as alumni. I'm fortunate enough to live close by and to be able to continue to support the programs that I love."
