DURHAM, N.H. – Sue Beaulieu '75 received the UNH athletics donor of the game award, presented by Geico, during Wednesday's "White Out The Whitt" men's hockey game versus the University of Maine at the Whittemore Center.
Beaulieu, a 1975 graduate of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, earned a science degree, and was a member of the UNH women's basketball program. After graduation, she worked at the university in a variety of roles, spending most of her time in business services and accounting.
Sue credits UNH for many of her lifetime milestones, and her passion for the university is a primary factor in her decision to support the Wildcats.
"Everything I've had in life is because of UNH one way or another," said Beaulieu. "I got my education there, I met my husband through my job at UNH, I have a lot of friends because of UNH. I've had a good life and I figure since I've gotten so much from the university, I want to be able to provide the same opportunity for others."
In 2015, Beaulieu created the Susan G. Beaulieu '75 and Tidoe Beaulieu Athletic Scholarship, named after herself and her late husband, to benefit UNH student-athletes.
Now retired, Sue keeps herself busy during the fall at UNH football games as an assistant scorekeeper, and frequently attends gymnastics meets, men's and women's hockey games at the Whitt, and several other UNH athletic sporting events. She is also a regular attendee of UNH athletics' various golf tournaments, which serve as primary fundraisers for individual Wildcat sports.
Beaulieu was featured in the Spring 2016 version of UNH's "Cat Tracker," which features various stories of philanthropy that impacts UNH athletics.
UNH Athletics thanks Sue, as well as all donors to UNH athletics, for their loyalty and support of the Wildcats.
