Crookshank Named Hockey East Rookie of the Week

Crookshank posted one goal and two assists as UNH went 1-0-1 versus No. 19 Miami.
WAKEFIELD, Mass. – University of New Hampshire freshman forward Angus Crookshank (North Vancouver, British Columbia) has been named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week for his performance in the two-game series versus No. 19 Miami at the Whittemore Center on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 23-24. Crookshank posted one goal and two assists for three points as UNH went 1-0-1 versus Miami. This is the first time he has earned this honor.
Crookshank tallied one goal and one assist for two points on Friday in the 3-3 tie, while he recorded an assist on the game-winning goal in the 4-1 victory on Saturday. He has two goals and four assists for six points on the season.
Crookshank was selected in the fifth round (126th overall) in the 2018 NHL Draft by the Ottawa Senators. He is one of six NHL Draft picks on the 2018-2019 UNH roster.
UNH will play a home-and-home series with No. 10 Providence on Friday, Nov. 30-Saturday, Dec. 1. Friday's game is on the road, while the contest on Saturday is at the Whittemore Center on ESPN+.
