Poturalski Named New England Hockey Division I All-Star

BOSTON – Andrew Poturalski (Williamsville, N.Y.) of the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team was named to the 2015-16 New England Men's Division I All-Star Team. Friday's announcement was made by the New England Hockey Writers Association.

Poturalski was most recently named a Hockey East First Team All-Star and a Hobey Baker Memorial Award Finalist. He was also tabbed the Hockey East Scoring Champion after leading the league in points (31) with 12 goals and 19 assists in 22 conference contests. Overall, he recorded 52 points on 22 goals and 30 assists. On March 8, Poturalski signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL) and is currently playing for their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.

All awards and All-Star teams will be presented at the annual New England Hockey Writers Banquet on Wednesday, April 13 at the Prince Restaurant in Saugus, Mass. The banquet begins at 6 p.m.
