Ashley Storey, women's basketball
    Ashley, a freshman from Cumberland, Maine, scored a career-high 22 points to propel the UNH women's basketball team to a 64-49 victory against Binghamton University at Lundholm Gym on Feb. 6. She was honored as Rookie of the Week by the America East conference on Monday (Feb. 8).
    She made 10 of her 12 field goal attempts and both free throws to account for 22 points. Ashley also recorded four rebounds, two blocks and a steal. She scored the first six points of the game and had 12 points at halftime to eclipse her previous career high of nine points.
    The 6-foor-3 forward is averaging 4.5 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Ashley is shooting a team-best 49.4 percent from the floor, and her 14 blocks ranks second on the team. In nine America East games, Ashley is scoring 6.6 ppg and pulling down 4.2 rpg, which ranks fourth and third on the team, respectively; she is also averaging 1.0 blocks per game. Her other season highlights include an eight-point, eight-rebound effort vs. Stony Brook University (Jan. 16).

Tanner Leissner, men's basketball
    Tanner, a sophomore from Converse, Texas, recorded 21 points and five rebounds to lift the UNH men's basketball team to a 59-55 come-from-behind victory at Binghamton University on Feb. 6. He made 6 of 13 field goal attempts, including one 3-pointer, and shot 8 of 9 from the foul line.
    The 6-foot-7 forward ignited the Wildcats' second-half comeback with 14 points, including eight from the foul line, after halftime. With four seconds remaining in regulation, Tanner snared a defensive rebound off a missed Binghamton free throw and then made two foul shots to secure the victory.
    Tanner leads the team in scoring (15.1 points per game), field goals made (102) and attempted (228), and free throws made (68) and attempted (95); in other stats, he is second in rebounding (4.3 per game) , second in minutes (598; 31.5 per game) and fourth in assists.
    Last year as a freshman, Tanner led the team in scoring – and ranked seventh in the America East conference – at 12.8 points per game. He also led all 'Cats in rebounding at 7.5 per game, which ranked fourth in the conference. At the end of the regular season, he was feted as America East Rookie of the Year and selected to both the All-Conference Second Team and All-Rookie Team.
    In 44 career games, he has scored 622 points for an average of 13.5 ppg. He also has 323 rebounds, which calculates to 7.0 per game.

2016 WOMEN'S FROZEN FOUR COMES TO UNH'S WHITTEMORE CENTER
The NCAA Women's Frozen Four is coming back to Durham! UNH's Whittemore Center was the site of the national championship in 2002 and 2005 and it will be again in March 2016.
Tickets are on sale now for the NCAA 2016 Women's Frozen Four that will be played at the Whitt on March 18 & 20. The all-session package includes a ticket to both the March 18 semifinal games (single admission; 4/7 pm) and the March 20 championship game (2 pm).
Each all-session chairback seat costs $35. There is also a bench seat option at $25 for adults and $20 for students, seniors and youths. Groups of 20 or more can purchase an all-session package at $15 per seat, regardless of section.

UNH LAUNCHES 2016 FOOTBALL STADIUM TICKET CAMPAIGN
    The UNH department of athletics has launched of a marketing campaign aimed at establishing a priority system for seat selection at the under-construction Wildcat Stadium for the 2016 season.
    The campaign will enable fans to reserve season tickets in the state-of-the-art stadium. For a $25 deposit per seat, fans will receive a seat selection priority number in the order in which their reservation is made. The deposit is completely refundable and nonbinding.
    Current season ticket holders for 2015 football do not need to make a seat deposit at this time; they will be given seat selection priority over the general public. The seat selection process for season ticket holders will be announced at a later date.
    Details of season ticket packages, including amenities and privileges, will be announced this winter, at which time fans can select their ticket package preference. A "Select A Seat" event in which fans pick their actual seat location in the new stadium will be announced at a later time.
 Fans can secure a priority number by clicking HERE or by mailing seat reservation deposits to Whittemore Center Arena Box Office, 128 Main Street, Durham, NH 03824.

MEN'S BASKETBALL (13-9 overall, 6-3 America East)
- The UNH men's basketball team improved to 7-6 on the road with last Saturday's 59-55 victory at Binghamton University. UNH has won five of its last six games and is third in the conference standings.
- UNH overcame a nine-point deficit in the second half for the win. The Wildcats won their fourth straight road game for the first time since the 1994-95 season.
- Sophomore Tanner Leissner (Converse, Texas) recorded his seventh 20-plus point game with 21 points and he pulled down five rebounds. Leissner made 6 of 13 field goal attempts, including one 3-pointer, and shot 8 of 9 from the foul line.
- Jaleen Smith (Freeport, Texas) tallied 16 points, five rebounds and three assists.
- Pat McNamara (Arlington Heights, Ill.) scored nine points, all on 3-pointers, and had three boards.
- The Wildcat bench outscored the Bearcats' 19-10.
- New Hampshire had a season-low four turnovers to Binghamton's 11.
- The UNH men's basketball team returns to action tonight – Feb. 8 (7 p.m.) –against interstate rival University of Maine. The Wildcats then play host to the University at Albany (Feb. 11, 7 p.m.) and end the week at Stony Brook University (Feb. 14, 2 p.m.).

- The UNH women's basketball team upended Binghamton University at Lundholm Gym on Feb. 6 by a score of 64-49.
- Freshman forward Ashley Storey (Cumberland, Maine) scored a career-high 22 points by making 10 of 12 field goals and both free throw attempts. She also had four rebounds, two blocks and had a steal.
- Senior guard Elizabeth Belanger (Acton, Mass.) recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 19 points and 12 rebounds. She also had three assists.
- Sophomore guard Aliza Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) contributed 11 points, four rebounds and a team-high four assists.
- Sophomore Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) pulled down 10 rebounds and added four points.
- UNH recorded a 43-32 edge on the glass and 24-16 scoring edge in the paint.
- The UNH women's basketball team returns to action tonight – Feb. 8 (7 p.m.) at the University of Maine. - The UNH gymnastics team won the Wildcat Invitational against the University of Bridgeport, Brown University and Towson University with a team score of 195.550. The meet was held Feb. 7 at Lundholm Gym.
- New Hampshire swept the top three scores on vault with Elizabeth Mahoney (Hanson, Mass.) recording a top mark of 9.850. Erin Carroll (Kingston, N.H.) and Jennifer King (Freehold, N.J.) shared second place at 9.700.
- Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) won the uneven bars with a career-high 9.925.
- Kelsey Aucoin (Double Oak, Texas) was the meet's top scorer on balance beam. She tied a season high of 9.925.
- Danielle Doolin (Medford Lakes, N.J.) tied personal bests on the floor exercise (9.850- second place) and uneven bars (9.775) en route to a second-place all-around score of 38.850.
- UNH recorded the highest team scores on vault (48.425), bars (49.125), and beam (49.125).
- The UNH gymnastics team returns to action Feb. 13 at home against Southern Connecticut State University. - The UNH men's ice hockey team split a pair of road games against nationally-ranked teams last weekend with a 4-3 loss to No. 4 Boston College and 3-2 win vs. No. 8 UMass Lowell. The Wildcats had not defeated UMass Lowell since Dec. 1, 2012.
- Sophomore netminder Danny Tirone (Trumbull, Conn.) made 77 saves on 83 shots for a .927 save percentage.
- Sophomore Andrew Poturalksi (Williamsville, N.Y.) recorded three points last weekend with two goals and an assist.
- The UNH men's hockey team returns to action Feb. 12 (7 p.m.) at home against the University of Vermont. The teams face off again at the Whitt on Feb. 13 (5 p.m.). - The UNH women's ice hockey team was swept by the University of Vermont in a two-game home series with losses of 2-1 (Feb. 5) and 3-2 (Feb. 6).
- UNH recorded a 61-38 shot advantage in the two-game series but was outscored 5-3 by the Catamounts.
- Freshman defenseman Jenna Rheault (Deering, N.H.) recorded her first career assist with a helper on Saturday's first goal.
- Senior Margo Lund (St. Paul, Minn.) is the only Wildcat who tallied a point both games vs. the Catamounts. She recorded her sixth assist of the season Friday and tallied her fourth goal of the season Saturday.
- Prior to last weekend's pair of one-goal losses, the 'Cats had won four consecutive games decided by one goal.
- The UNH women's ice hockey team plays a home-and-home series against Boston University. The teams face off Feb. 13 (3 p.m.) at Walter Brown Arena and Feb. 14 (2 p.m.) at the Whitt. Both games are part of the Hockey East Skating Strides Against Breast Cancer fund raising initiative.

- The UNH ski team compiled 723 points to earn third place (16 teams) at the UVM Carnival. The four-day event concluded this past weekend (Feb. 6-7) with the Nordic teams competing at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. Dartmouth won the event with 972 points, followed by Vermont with 912.
- Peter Holmes (Tahoe City, Calif.) raced to fifth place in the men's 10K classic race Sunday. He completed the course in 24 minutes, 11.0 seconds. One day earlier, Holmes was the top 'Cat and 11th fastest skier overall in the 10K freestyle with a time of 22:21.8.
- Gavin Hess (Rochester, N.Y.) finished immediately behind Holmes in 22:22.0 for 12th place, and Eirik Fosnaes (Hovik, Norway) took 14th place in 22:24.3.
- Raleigh Goessling (Esko, Minn.) and Tyler Quinn Smith (Park City, Utah) also placed in the top 20 in the 10K classic. Goessling finished 11th (25:13.9) and Quinn Smith took 16th (25:29.7).
- The women's contingent finished in succession at 12-13-14Â in Sunday's 10K classic. Lizzie Gill (Bozeman, Mont.) led the 'Cats in 12th place with a time of 29:07.0, and she was followed by Katrin Larusson (Truckee, Calif.) in 29:21.0 and Rocci Wohlk (Fores Lake, Minn.) in 29:23.0.
- Gill has been UNH's top women's Nordic performer in five of six EISA races this season. That also includes last Saturday's 5K freestyle, where she placed 10th overall in 12:22.7.
- Emily Larson (Boulder, Colo.) and Larusson also scored points for the 'Cats in the women's 5K free. Larson crossed the finish line in 12:28.5 for 11th place while Larusson took 19th in 12:36.3.
- The UNH ski team returns to Feb. 12-13 at the Dartmouth Carnival. The alpine squad competes at Dartmouth Skiway and the Nordic contingent is at Craftsbury.

- The UNH women's indoor track & field team took fourth place at the URI Coaches vs. Domestic Violence Meet that was held Feb. 6 at the Mackel Fieldhouse.
- Senior Lauren Perrodin (Coral Springs, Fla.) placed first in the 60-meter dash (7.66 seconds) and second in the 200m (25.79).
- Junior Hannah Kimball (Atkinson, N.H.) won the mile by crossing the finish line with a personal-best time of 4:57.45.
- Sohomore Danielle Gajewski (Danville, N.H.) took second place in the 800m in 2:16.15.
- Sophomore Kari Murnane  (Byram, N.J.) was runner-up in the pole vault with a career-best effort of 11 feet, 3.75 inches.
- Junior Alyson Messina (Plymouth, Mass.) finished third in the 400m with a time of 1:00.13).
- Freshman Shelby Strickland (Kennebunk, Maine) was third in the high jump with a cleared height of 5-3.25.
- The women's indoor track & field team returns to action Feb. 12 (12 p.m.) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational (Track & Tennis Center; Boston, Mass.). Some Wildcats will compete at Maine on Feb. 13 against the Black Bears and Vermont.

- The UNH men's cross country team ended the 2015 season with a 30th-place finish at the NCAA Regional Championships held Nov. 13 at Franklin Park (Boston, Mass.).
- Sophomore Ryan Chiesa (Stockholm, N.J.) placed 118th in the 10K race with a time of 32 minutes, 52 seconds followed by junior Mitchell Dutton (Salem, N.H.) who collected 143rd place in 33:10.

- Senior Laura Rose Donegan (Melbourne, Australia) earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division I Women's Cross Country Championships on Nov. 20 with a 30th place finish in 20 minutes, 20.9 seconds in the 6K race. She also received the Elite 90 award for the highest grade point average of all the athletes at the NCAA Championships.
- Last year, Donegan earned her first All-America recognition at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships when she placed 10th in the 3K steeplechase.
- The Australian native holds a 4.0 GPA while studying political science. She was named the America East Cross Country Elite 18 winner at the conference championships (Oct. 31). She collected the same award at the 2015 America East Indoor Championships as well, for the highest GPA of the top finishers.
- The Elite 90 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships. Donegan is the second UNH athlete to secure the honor, after Liz Guiney of women's skiing earned the award during the 2012-13 athletic season. There are 340+ cross country-sponsored programs by the NCAA at the Division I level.

- The UNH field hockey team was defeated 2-1 by University of the Pacific in an America East quarterfinal game at the University at Albany on Nov. 6. The Wildcats recorded a sizable advantage in both shots (27-7) and penalty corners (13-5).
- Prior to the start of the tournament, junior midfielder Lindsey Nerbonne (Bow, N.H.) and sophomore midfielder Gianna Bensaia (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) were named to the All-Conference First Team. Freshman forward Katie Audino (Severn, Md.) was an All-Rookie Team selection. Senior forward Meg Carroll (Mansfield, Mass.) and senior back Chandler Giese (Trappe, Pa.) were voted to the All-Academic Team.
- At the conclusion of the tournament, senior forward Meg Flatley (Townsend, Mass.) was named to the All-Championship Team.
- Flatley extended her goal streak to three games by scoring her 10th goal of the season and 52nd career goal when she gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead at 23:07. That goal moved her into a tie for third on the program's career leaderboard with Hayley Rausch (2008-11). Flatley also climbed into No. 4 with 120 career points; that spot was previously held by Gaby Haroules (1977-80; 119 points).
- Nerbonne finished the season as the team leader in goals (12), game-winning goals (three), points (26) and shots (85).
- The end of the 2015 season marked the end of careers for Carroll, Flatley and Giese as well as classmates Emma Compagna (Canton, Mass.), Lynne Lehman (Landisburg, Pa.) and Taylor Rideout (Barrington, R.I.).

FOOTBALL (7-5 overall, 5-3 CAA)
- The UNH football team's impressive fourth-quarter comeback fell short in a 27-20 loss to Colgate University in an NCAA FCS first round game at Cowell Stadium on Nov. 28. The Wildcats have advanced to the NCAA postseason 12 consecutive years, which is the longest active streak in the nation.
- Junior defensive back Casey DeAndrade (East Bridgewater, Mass.), senior offensive lineman Austin Heter (McKees Rocks, Pa.) and junior tight end Jordan Powell (Forked River, N.J.) were named to the 2015 Division I All-New England Team by the New England Football Writers' Association.
- DeAndrade was named to the All-CAA Football First Team as both a cornerback and punt returner for the second consecutive year.
- Powell was also a First Team selection, while Heter was voted to the Second Team.
- Junior running back Dalton Crossan (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) received two accolades. He was named to the Third Team as a running back and kickoff returner.
- Senior captains Akil Anderson (Morristown, N.J.) and Jullian Turner (East Pittsburgh, Pa.) were Third Team honorees.
- Senior quarterback and captain Sean Goldrich (West Haven, Conn.) finished with career numbers of 654 completions on 1,068 attempts for 7,536 yards. On UNH's all-time leaderboard, those numbers rank No. 3 in completions, No. 5 in attempts and No. 5 in yards.

- The UNH men's soccer team fell in the America East quarterfinals by a score of 1-0 at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County on Nov. 7 to end the Wildcats' season.
- Junior co-captain Chris Wingate (Hovik, Norway) earned the America East Midfielder of the Year title as well as an All-Conference First Team spot while Fazal Nabi (Portland, Maine), Lukas Goerigk (Berlin, Germany) and Andrew Chaput (Manchester, N.H.) each earned All-Conference Second Team honors.
- Rookie Chris Arling (Windham, N.H.) was selected to the All-Rookie Team.

- The UNH women's soccer team saw its 2015 season come to an end in an America East quarterfinal game at the University of Maine on Oct. 29. The Wildcats and Black Bears battled to a 1-1 tie through the end of overtime, but Maine advanced 4-3 on penalty kicks at Mahaney Diamond.
- Senior Caroline Murray (New Canaan, Conn.) was named America East Midfielder of the Year and sophomore Brooke Murphy (Stow, Mass.) was named the America East Striker of the Year.
- Murphy and Murray were joined by senior captain Kirsten O'Neil (Hampton, N.H.) on the All-Conference First Team.

- The UNH volleyball team saw its 2015 season end Dec. 3 with a straight-set loss to 11th-ranked University of Florida in an NCAA first round match. The Wildcats advanced to the NCAAs for the third consecutive year by winning the America East tournament title for the third straight year.
- The set scores vs. the Gators were 25-15, 25-9, 25-15.
- New Hampshire's 21 wins is the most in program history since the 2003 season (23-12, 12-2 AE).
- The end of the 2015 season also marks the end of UNH volleyball careers for seniors Abby Brinkman (Brecksville, Ohio), Brenna Buckwalter (Evergreen, Colo.), Cassidy Croci (Sylvania, Ohio), Tori Forrest (Powder Springs, Ga.), Maggie Kenney (Merrimack, N.H.) and Madison Lightfoot (Clarkston, Mich.). The senior class propelled the Wildcats to a 76-47 record during its tenure in Durham.
- UNH earned the automatic berth into the NCAAs by capturing the America East Championship title on its home court for the third consecutive year. The Wildcats trumped Binghmaton, 3-1, in the semifinals and defeated University at Albany, 3-1, in the Nov. 21 title match.
- It marked the first-time in program history that UNH won the conference title three straight seasons.
- The America East bestowed UNH 13 postseason awards with juniors Demi Muses (Orangevale, Calif.) and Keelin Severtson (Delray Beach, Fla.) taking home the league's co-Player of the Year and Setter of the Year respectively.
- Forrest garnered First Team and All-Academic Team honors for the third straight season. Muses and Severtson joined Forrest on the All-Conference First Team. Lightfoot notched her second consecutive appearance on the All-Conference Second Team. Alongside Forrest, Croci and Brinkman merited All-Academic Team mentions. Following the conclusion of the tournament Forrest was named the America East Championships' Most Outstanding Player. Joining Forrest on the All-Championship Team were Lightfoot and Croci.
- Lightfoot finished her UNH career as the all-time leader in digs, tallying 1,657 in her four years.
- Forrest concluded her collegiate career second all-time in total attacks (4,129), fifth all-time in kills (1,264) and eighth in digs (1,054).
