WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Freshman forward Patrick Grasso (Ankeny, Iowa) of the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team was named the Warrior Hockey Player of the Week Monday as announced by the Hockey East Association.
Grasso had a five-point weekend as the Wildcats went 2-0-0 to begin Hockey East play. In Friday's 4-1 road win at the University of Massachusetts, he picked up an assist on the game-winning goal while in Saturday's home win against Merrimack College, the rookie scored four goals, including a natural hat trick in the span of three minutes, 56 seconds. He holds the top spot in power play goals among Division I hockey players with five.
