WESTFIELD, Mass. – Junior Julia Credendino (Islip, N.Y.) placed 67th overall as the University of New Hampshire women's cross country team placed 15th at the 37-team New England Championships Sunday afternoon at Stanley Park.
The Wildcats wrapped up the varsity division with 466 points, while Boston College totaled 45 points to capture the event for the second straight year.
Credendino completed the 5-kilometer course in a time of 18:37.15, while freshman McKenzie Haney (Penacook, N.H.) placed 77th at 18:40.89. Haney has put together a solid rookie campaign for the Wildcats, highlighted by a fourth-place finish two weeks ago in a dual-meet against Maine.
Senior Meagan Boucher (Manchester, N.H.) finished 96th in a time of 18:53.55, while sophomore Gabby Mancuso (New Paltz, N.Y.) and senior Lucy Garfield (Hanover, N.H.) placed 111th and 115th, respectively, at 19:04.99 and 19:06.49.
The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, Oct. 13 when they take part in the Pre-Nationals meet at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky.
