CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS CLIMB UP USTFCCCA REGIONAL RANKINGS

NEW ORLEANS - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its Division I Cross Country Regional Rankings on Monday and both the University of New Hampshire men's and women's cross country teams have  now entered the Northeast rankings.

After dropping out of the rankings for two weeks, the women's team jumped back in at the 12th spot, while the men's squad, which has been ranked all four weeks, moved up one position to No. 14.

The teams were propelled by solid performances at the New England Championships on Oct. 10. The women ran to a fifth-place finish at the 49-team meet, while the men placed fourth out of 47 teams.

Both squads return to action Saturday, Oct. 31 at the America East Championships on the campus of the University of Vermont.
