WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY EIGHTH AT CCSU MINI MEET

RESULTS

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – Sophomore Lindsey Jeltes (Oakland, N.J.) finished 30th to pace the University of New Hampshire women’s cross country team as it finished eighth at the 14-team Central Connecticut State University Mini Meet on Saturday afternoon at Stanley Quarter Park.

The Wildcats finished with 226 points, while the winner, Boston University, finished with 49.

Jeltes finished the race in a time of 11 minutes, 57 seconds.

Sophomore Katherine Chwasciak (Webster, N.H.) placed 35th, crossing the finish line at 12:02, while junior Nicole Wrobel (Bedford, N.H.)  was 49th at 12:17. Fellow junior Amanda Rusilas (Charlton, N.Y.) finished two spots back in 51st in a time of 12:20.

Freshman Ann McCarthy (Yakima, Wash.) finished 61st in the 117-runner field, completing the course in 12:27.

The Wildcats return to action Saturday, Nov. 1 when they compete at the America East Championship at Oregon Ridge Park.
