WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES THIRD AT MURRAY KEATINGE

RESULTS


ORONO, Maine – Senior Cathy Parker (Westford, Mass.) finished third overall at the 16th annual Murray Keatinge Invitational at the University of Maine on Saturday, to lead the University of New Hampshire women’s cross country team to a third-place finish at the nine-team meet.

Parker finished the five-kilometer course in a time of 17 minutes, 19.30 seconds, just four seconds behind the runner up.

Freshman Erica Jesseman (Scarborough, Maine) finished in 16th place for the ‘Cats in a time of 18:12.20. Freshman Allison Letourneau (Kingston, Nova Scotia) and sophomore Laura LaPlante (Peterborough, N.H.) finished in 25th and 28th, respectively. Letourneau completed the course in 18:26.00, while LaPlante crossed the finish line at 18:31.50.

The Wildcats scored 163 points to finish behind Yale University (126) and Duke University (57).

UNH will return to action Oct. 12 at the Penn State National Invitational in State College, Pa.
