BOSTON - University of New Hampshire junior harrier Catherine Parker (Westford, Mass.) has been named the America East Women’s Cross Country “Performer of the Week” on Wednesday (September 6).
Parker raced to a first-place finish at UNH’S College Woods 5K course versus the Friars of Providence College. The junior equaled the third fastest time ever recorded on the course (17:35). Parker won the race by a margin of nine seconds before a foursome of Friars rounded out the top five places. As a team, Providence won the dual meet by a score of 21-38.
Parker and the rest of the Wildcats will be back in action on Saturday (Sept. 15) when they compete in the America East Conference Pre-Meet at Orono, Maine. The start of the race will begin at 3:30 p.m.
