Volleyball Goes 3-0 at UNH Spring Tournament

DURHAM, N.H. -- University of New Hampshire volleyball team went 3-0 in the UNH Spring Tournament on Saturday. The Wildcats played matches against Dartmouth as well as Hartford and a UNH alumni team.

Offensively, Morgan Thatcher (Brockton, Mass.) led the way with 19 kills and a .293 hitting efficiency. Taylor Dressing (Gillette, N.J.) added 18 kills, a .289 hitting percentage and recorded a team-high 22 digs. Lauren Laquerre (Concord, N.H.) chipped in with 14 kills, 11 service aces, 19 digs and three blocks. Freshman Destiny Tolliver (Rochester, Mich.) posted a double-double with 16 digs and 10 blocks. Setter Jansan Falcusan (Plymouth, Mich.) handed out a team-high 59 assists and added 18 digs on the day.

The 2011 UNH volleyball team opens the season Aug. 26 at the West Virginia Mountaineer Invitational. The Wildcats will play the host Mountaineers at 1 p.m.
