VOLLEYBALL CONCLUDES SPRING SLATE WITH 6-2 MARK AT UNH TOURNAMENT

DURHAM, N.H. -- University of New Hampshire volleyball team completed its spring schedule as it went 6-2 in round-robin play at the UNH Spring Tournament held at Lundholm Gymnasium on Saturday, April 25.

The Wildcats competed against Boston College, Holy Cross, Maine, Dartmouth as well as a team of UNH alumni.

Lindsay Fogarty (Pleasanton, Calif.) led the way for New Hampshire with 22 kills, .409 hitting percentage and eight blocks. Kate Uitti (Pinckney, Mich.) had 10 aces, 11 digs, and set a .221 team hitting percentage. Jayde Huxtable (St. Charles, Ill.) led UNH defensively with 16 digs.

A pair of Wildcat assistants Stacy Barnett and Erin Walker helped comprise a group alumni, while others included Kara Fitzgerald, Sasha Scott, Lyndsey Stults, Erin Ludwig, Sarah Rehn and Lucia Bridova.

The Wildcats will return to the court again in the fall with hopes of a fourth America East champions and a return trip to the NCAA tournament in 2009.
