– Sophomore outside hitter Angela Anderson recorded 13 kills as the University of Maryland-Baltimore County defeated the University of New Hampshire, 3-0, during America East volleyball action Sunday afternoon at Lundholm Gymnasium.  The game scores were 30-27, 30-27 and 30-13. 
    The win advances the Retrievers to the America East Tournament while the Wildcats end their season with the loss.  UMBC improves to 15-14 overall and 7-5 in the conference while New Hampshire finishes the year 11-16 overall and 6-6 in the conference.
    New Hampshire was able to keep the score close in the first two games.  Junior outside hitter Emmy Blouin (St. Albert, Alberta) recorded nine kills while freshman setter Kate Uitti (Pickney, Mich.) had 17 assists through the first two games. 
    UMBC maintained control throughout the third game and kept the Wildcats at a distance.  Anderson and Ball each had four kills for UMBC while Ball also had seven digs. 
    Freshman outside hitter Ashley Oscars recorded 10 kills while teammate Sarah Ball had 11 for UMBC.  Freshman setter Kira Giles had 32 assists in the win.  Freshman libero Jennifer Wylie led the game with 25 digs.
