DURHAM, N.H. – Senior co-captain Sarah Rehn (Oceanside, Calif.) and junior outside hitter Emmy Blouin (St. Albert, Alberta) once again led the Wildcat volleyball team with 31 and 29 kills respectively in the 3-2 win against the University of Maine in America East action at Lundholm Gym on Sunday afternoon.
    With the win, the Wildcats even their conference record at 5-5 for the season and own a 10-15 record overall. Maine fell to 6-18 and 4-6 in America East play. UNH now occupies third place in the America East standings along with Maryland-Balitmore County and Stony Brook.
    Rehn totaled a career-high kill total, in addition to hitting .263 and posting nine digs. Blouin also recorded a career-high in kills, while registering 10 digs and a .400 hitting percentage. Rehn had 11 kills in Game 3, while Blouin totaled 10 kills in the opening game. Junior middle blocker Jessica Compton (Woodridge, Ill.) also managed 11 kills in the match, to go along with three blocks and a .667 hitting percentage.
    Freshman setter Kate Uitti (Pinckney, Mich.) tallied a career-high 61 assists and 17 digs helping UNH to the victory. Uitti helped guide the ‘Cats offense hitting at a .290 clip on 77 kills in 186 attempts.
    Freshman libero Alyse Lahti (Pepper Pike, Ohio) also had a solid outing on defense with 26 digs.
    UNH finished Game 2 and Game 3 with 19 kills, including hitting .375 as a team in the third game.
    The Wildcat volleyball team returns to the court on Saturday, Nov. 11 vs. Binghamton. Match time at Lundholm Gym is 1 p.m. UNH will then close out its regular-season schedule on Sunday, Nov. 12 against Maryland-Baltimore County. The Wildcats will honor their lone senior, Sarah Rehn on Senior Day at 1 p.m. in Durham.
