, N.H. – Senior captain Sarah Rehn (Oceanside, Calif.) and junior outside hitter Emmy Blouin (St. Albert, Alberta) each posted 16 kills apiece in the 3-2 loss to University at Albany, 3-2 on Saturday night at University Gym. The game scores were 24-30, 24-30, 30-25, 30-25 and 13-15.
Rehn also notched 14 digs, while Blouin totaled seven digs in the loss to the Great Danes. The Wildcats drop to 8-15 on the season and 3-5 in America East play, while Albany ups its record to 13-9 and 6-2 in America East action.
Freshmen Kirsten Bates (Calgary, Alberta) and Lindsay Fogarty (Plesanton, Calif.) each registered 11 kills in the match. Fogarty hit for a team-high .273 hitting percentage, while also adding a career-high seven blocks in addition to her career-high kill total. Bates added 17 digs in a strong defensive effort.
Freshman setter Kate Uitti (Pinckney, Mich.) tallied 54 assists and nine digs running the Wildcats offense and freshman libero Alyse Lahti (Pepper Pike, Ohio) finished the match with a career-high 27 digs in the losing effort.
The ‘Cats hit a team-high .273 in Game 2 with 14 kills and a 17 kill effort in Game 3.
UNH returns to action on Friday, Nov. 3rd at Hartford. Game time at the Sports Center is 7 p.m. in West Hartford, Conn. The Wildcats then return to Lundholm Gym for a home match on Sunday, Nov. 5 against Maine (1 p.m.).
