    DURHAM, N.H. – Junior middle blocker Jessica Compton (Woodridge, Ill.) led the Wildcats to a 3-0 sweep with 13 kills and a .706 hitting percentage on Tuesday night in exhibition play against UMass-Lowell at Lundholm Gym. The game scores were 30-13, 30-19 and 30-13.
     Sophomore outside hitter Toni Barnas (Cary, Ill.) posted nine kills which ranked second on the ‘Cats roster, while senior captain Sarah Rehn (Oceanside, Calif.) amassed five kills and a team-high eight digs.
    Freshman Kate Uitti (Pinckney, Mich.) recorded 32 assists and five digs running the ‘Cats offense. Freshman middle blocker Lindsay Fogarty (Pleasaton, Calif.) also saw some time playing in two games, finishing the match with five kills and .571 hitting percentage, which was the second best total of the night for any UNH player. UNH tallied 16 kills in Game 1 and 2, while nine of the 11 ‘Cats that played posted at least one kill.   
    The UNH volleyball now turns its attention to hosting their home tournament this weekend, beginning on Friday, Sept. 8 with a 7 p.m. match vs. Brown at Lundholm Gym. The ‘Cats conclude play in the tournament on Saturday, Sept. 9 with a 12:30 match vs. San Jose State and play Texas-San Antonio on “Pack the Arena Night” at 7 p.m.
