BOSTON-- Freshman setter Lucia Bridova (Bratislava, Slovakia) of the University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team was named America East Co-Setter of the Week by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Bridova had one of her finest weeks as a Wildcat notching 94 assists in two matches last weekend. She averaged 10.44 assists per game to go along with 16 digs, nine blocks and nine kills with a .250 hitting percentage. Bridova registered 40 assists and six blocks in the 3-2 win on Friday against Stony Brook and tied a career-high with 54 helpers and 10 digs in the 3-1 win vs. UMBC on Sunday.
She ranks first on the team in assists with 520 and her 116 digs ranks fifth on the 'Cats roster. Bridova has also registered 31 kills, 23 service aces and 28 total blocks in her first season as a Wildcat. Bridova has notched 30 or more assists on nine occasions and she has topped the 40-assist mark six times in her freshman season.
The Wildcats (6-16 overall, 3-4 America East) return to action at home Friday, Oct. 28 against first-place Binghamton. Match time at Lundholm Gym is 7 p.m.
