BALTIMORE, Md.-- The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team won its third conference match of the season with a 3-1 win over University of Maryland-Baltimore County on Saturday afternoon at RAC Arena. The game scores were 30-20, 25-30, 31-29 and 30-27.
Junior outside hitter Erin Walker (Fulton, N.Y.) paced the Wildcat attack with a team-high 18 kills, 12 digs and a .300 hitting percentage. Freshman outside hitter Toni Barnas (Cary, Ill.) continued her strong play with 13 kills, six digs and four blocks. Senior co-captain Natasha Otte (Plymouth, N.H.) posted 10 kills to go along with eight blocks and seven digs.
Junior Karen Harrington (Windham, N.H.) and sophomore outside hitter Amy Dai (Calgary, Alb.) recorded seven and nine kills respectively, while Harrington notched a match-high .600 hitting percentage.
Sophomore setter Katie Weidner (Warrenville, Ill.) ran the Wildcat attack, notching six kills, 50 assists and 11 digs, four aces and four blocks in the victory for UNH. Senior libero Jen Williams (Mountain View, Calif.) finished the match with a team-high 24 digs on the defensive side.
The Wildcat volleyball team (7-18 overall, 3-7 AE) returns to action on Friday, Nov. 5th at conference rival Northeastern University (7 p.m.).
