Wildcat volleyball to host annual spring tournament

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team will host its annual spring tournament on Saturday, April 23 at Lundholm Gymnasium in conjunction with the annual team awards banquet. The team banquet will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday in the Oak Room at Huddleston Hall. The Wildcat Class of 2004 will be honored for their achievements over the past four seasons and team captains will be announced for the upcoming 2005 season.

The teams that will participate in the tournament are Harvard, Boston College, Rhode Island, Maine and the UNH Alumni team.

In addition to the NCAA volleyball teams, former Wildcats Anne Davis, Jess Houle, Erin Ludwig, Lauren Knight, Sasha Scott, Katie Jentes, Lyndsey Stults, Natasha Otte and Beth Cole return to UNH to form an alumni team that will play other competing teams in the tournament. Each match will be one game to 30 points using the rally scoring point system.

UNH starts play at 10 a.m. vs. Harvard, then they face the University of Maine at 11 a.m., Rhode Island at 11:30 and Boston College at 1 p.m.

The 'Cats conclude the tournament with the UNH alumni at 2 p.m.
