VESTAL, N.Y. - The University of New Hampshire volleyball team won its ninth straight match Friday evening by downing Binghamton University 3-0 in America East action. The game scores were 30-28, 30-14, 30-21. The Wildcats improve to 19-10 overall and 9-1 in conference play, while the Bearcats are now 8-18 overall and 2-7 in the league.

Lauren Knight (Cape Cod, Mass.) led the way for the Wildcats, registering 11 kills and a .429 hitting percentage for the match. She also made a match-high five blocks. Alyson Coler (Monte Sereno, Calif.) and Amy Dai (Calgary, Alberta) each made 10 kills. Anne Davis (Groveland, Ill.), the reigning America East Setter of the Week, made 35 assists, while Jen Williams (Mountain View, Calif.) had 12 defensive digs. Sasha Scott (N. Branford, Conn.) chipped in with nine digs.

UNH returns to action tomorrow when it plays at Albany in a 7 p.m. match. The 'Cats can clinch a share of the regular season title and secure the top seed for the America East tournament with a win over the Great Danes. The Wildcats wrap up the season with a home match November 16 when New Hampshire entertains Maine in a 7 p.m. contest at Lundholm Gymnasium.
